Solo developer reality — AI Peeps is documented as a solo-developer-built platform. This is unusual in our cohort where most platforms are venture-funded teams. The trade-offs: feature velocity is steady but slower than well-funded competitors, customer support response time is single-person-dependent, but the product opinion is unusually coherent (no committee-design feel).
We filed two test support tickets across the cycle. Response times: 14 hours and 31 hours. Acceptable for a solo developer but slower than Nomi AI (under 8 hours), Candy AI (under 4 hours), Kindroid (under 12 hours) on equivalent ticket types.
PWA mobile UX continued evaluation: across the full cycle the PWA install held up well. We didn't experience the periodic app refresh quirks that affect some PWA implementations (where the app silently reloads mid-conversation). Push notifications worked consistently on Android; iOS Safari PWA notifications are more limited by Apple's policy but worked for in-app message events when the app was open.
Billing exit: cancellation via in-app settings took 3 clicks on Peep Pal and 4 clicks on Peep Pro. No retention dark patterns. Clean exit comparable to Kindroid and Nomi.
Final usage stats: 1,820 free chat messages + 940 paid chat messages, 134 image generations, 15 video clips, 22 voice messages across 4 characters. Total spend: $25.98 (Peep Pal + Peep Pro on parallel accounts).
Final verdict context: AI Peeps's 9.0 overall reflects strong execution across chat (9.5), character depth (9.5), image (9.0), video (8.5), and a rare 9.0 in community (driven by the 50K+ library + active community engagement). The headline differentiators: unlimited free chat, editable memory architecture, 1080p / 60fps video, multilingual voice. The structural notes: solo developer means slower support, PWA-only (no native iOS / Android), PeepCoin economy requires careful budgeting on mid-tier.
