DreamCoins run out fast on calls and video
Both Premium plans (monthly and yearly) include 1,000 DreamCoins a month. At OurDream's own rates (50 coins a minute for voice calls, 100 coins per 5 seconds of standard video) that is 20 call minutes or about 50 seconds of video, and a single 60-second clip costs 1,200 coins, more than a month's allowance. Extra coins can only be bought while subscribed, at $11.99 for 1,000, $49.99 for 5,000 or $159.99 for 20,000, and Deluxe ($59.99 a month) raises the monthly allowance to 5,000. The coin list prices voice calls but no live video calls.
No phone app, only a home-screen shortcut to the website
OurDream runs only in the browser at ourdream.ai and ourdream.io. Its help centre says it doesn't have a standalone mobile app yet and explains how to add the site to a home screen instead, and no OurDream app appeared in US App Store or Google Play searches on Oct 24, 2026.

The 'end-to-end encrypted' promise doesn't match its policies
OurDream's homepage FAQ says chats are end-to-end encrypted. Its privacy policy (Aug 26, 2026) describes encryption at rest and in transit, lists chat communications among the data it collects and training its AI models among the uses, and its underage policy says a moderation filter checks conversations, with manual review of flagged content. Candy AI, SweetDream and Nomi AI also use chats to improve their AI. Two picks draw a clearer line: AI Peeps' privacy policy excludes chats containing personal data from training its own models, and Soulkyn trains on chats only after you switch the option on in your account preferences.
The free account is only a sample
A new free account gets 10 image generations without a card, according to OurDream, and free users then pay 1 DreamCoin per chat message. Unlimited chat, video and buying extra coins all need a subscription. Ongoing free chat, including adult roleplay, is available elsewhere.

Peep Pal ($14.99) includes 1,700 PeepCoins a month, per AI Peeps' comparison pages; at 10 coins an image that is 170 images, close to the 200 that OurDream's 1,000 coins cover for $5 more. Chats containing personal data are kept out of training for AI Peeps' own models, according to its privacy policy, and NSFW roleplay works on the free plan within a daily message allowance. What you give up:
Library size and coin carry-over. AI Peeps claims about 100,000 community characters to OurDream's claimed 7 million, monthly PeepCoins don't roll over, and video gets expensive with length and resolution (550 coins for a 15-second 1080p Base clip). There's no phone app either, AI Peeps' own wiki lists lower coin allowances than its comparison pages, and refunds are decided case by case.
FantasyGF: best for more short video clips for less
FantasyGF keeps OurDream's mix of chat, pictures, short videos and calls with one companion, for less. Premium costs $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year (about $5.83 a month), against OurDream's $19.99 and $119.88, and texting is unlimited and costs no tokens. Its 100 monthly tokens go further on short video: Flash clips (480p, 5 or 8 seconds, no audio) start at 6 tokens, so a month's allowance covers up to 16 of them, where OurDream's 1,000 coins cover ten 5-second clips. FantasyGF publishes the token price of every action, and unused tokens don't expire. Our score: 8.6/10, with 9.5 for image generation.
What you give up:
Call minutes and a big shared library. Calls cost 8 tokens a minute, so Premium's 100 tokens give 12.5 minutes against OurDream's 20, and videos with audio or in 720p cost 16 to 141 tokens each. FantasyGF centres on characters you design (our Community score is 6.0 against OurDream's 8.0), the free plan stops at 16 messages, there's no phone app, and partial subscription periods aren't refunded.

Explicit images. Nomi bans nude photos on every plan, so adult content stays in text, and our Video score for it is 7.0 against OurDream's 8.5. Instead of OurDream's public library you start from a Nomi you set up yourself, live video calls aren't offered, and Nomi refunds only at its own discretion.
SweetDream AI: best if calls are what drain your DreamCoins
SweetDream AI fixes the most expensive part of OurDream: calls. Browser phone calls cost 1 token to start plus 2 a minute, so Premium's 400 monthly tokens cover about 199 minutes, against 20 minutes from OurDream's 1,000 DreamCoins at 50 a minute. Premium also adds live video calls and Live Cam with featured characters; OurDream's coin list prices voice calls but no video calls. You can still design your own girlfriend or boyfriend and generate images (8 tokens) and videos (80 tokens) from the same balance. SweetDream has our highest overall score, 9.1/10, with 9.5 for video generation and 8.5 for voice (OurDream: 7.0).

There's no monthly plan: Premium was listed at $12.99 a week (about $56.29 a month), $79 for 3 months or $179 a year (about $14.92 a month), and 400 tokens buy 50 images or 5 videos where OurDream's allowance covers 200 images. OurDream's help centre says it doesn't have a standalone mobile app. Kindroid has apps for both phones, an iPhone app rated 18+ on the App Store and an Android app, plus a web version, and its moderation guidelines allow NSFW and erotic roleplay for adults within published red lines. Soulkyn AI: best for opt-in-only AI training and deep roleplay tools
Soulkyn suits OurDream users who care how their chats are used. Soulkyn says chats train its models only if you opt in under your account preferences; OurDream's privacy policy lists chat communications among the data it collects and model training among its uses. The roleplay tools go further too: versioned character edits, imports, group scenes with up to eight characters (Deluxe and up) and real-time voice calls with live captions. SpicyChat AI: best free stand-in for OurDream-style community roleplay
If you mostly used OurDream for roleplay with other people's characters, SpicyChat AI keeps that and makes it free: its plan table lists unlimited messages and unlimited character creation on the free tier, with ads and a 4K context window. OurDream's free account gets 10 images and then charges 1 DreamCoin per message. SpicyChat says its community has made almost a million characters, and it adds group chats with 2 to 10 characters, lorebooks and Director Mode. Removing ads costs $5.95 a month, a tier that also adds the Memory Manager, and on Android SpicyChat offers its own APK download. The visuals. SpicyChat has no video generation and no voice calls, its rules ban photorealistic pornography, conversation images start at $19.95 a month and text-to-speech needs the $29.95 plan. Memory is short below $19.95: the free and $5.95 tiers keep a 4K context, which SpicyChat puts at roughly the last 20 messages. iPhone users get no app, a plan can't be refunded once its login has been used, and the terms allow SpicyChat's operators to read what you send.

A much bigger community library: OurDream's homepage claims 7 million user-made characters, and public submissions are reviewed before they appear. AI Peeps claims 100,000+ and SpicyChat almost a million.
Video holds up: our Video Generation score for OurDream is 8.5, above Candy AI (7.5), Nomi AI (7.0) and Soulkyn (6.0), and SpicyChat has no video at all. Among these picks only SweetDream (9.5) and Kindroid (9.0) score higher.
Coins that carry over: OurDream's help centre says DreamCoins don't expire, so unused coins should roll into the next month while you stay subscribed. By contrast, AI Peeps resets its monthly PeepCoin allowance every cycle, and Candy AI's terms require tokens to be spent within their billing period.

Read across the rows and OurDream is generous on images but not on calls: SweetDream's browser calls give roughly ten times the minutes from a month's tokens, and FantasyGF's cheapest clips give more short videos for less money. Balances never move between platforms, and on OurDream extra coins can only be bought while you're subscribed, at $11.99 per 1,000 in the smallest pack. If you mostly chat, the coin rate matters less than the plan price, which is where Candy AI vs OurDream AI and FantasyGF vs OurDream AI come in.
Leaving OurDream: blurred media, leftover coins and refunds
A few OurDream rules are worth knowing before you stop paying (cancellation steps are in our OurDream AI review):
- Download what you want to keep. When a subscription ends, OurDream blurs every image and video you generated, community packs included, until you subscribe again. A refund triggers the same blurring.
- Leftover coins don't come back. The help centre says coins left when a subscription ends are not restored if you subscribe again later, and a refund removes unused coins.
- Refunds are case by case. Cancelling doesn't refund anything. For a defect or a service significantly different from its description you have 14 days to contact support; EEA, UK and Swiss consumers also have a 14-day withdrawal right, which can lapse once the service has been provided. Crypto payments are final, and the help centre says products more than 25% used aren't refunded.
- Deleting your account takes 24 to 48 hours and removes generations, unpublished characters, chat history and unused coins. A Public character that became popular may stay on the site afterwards.
Don't expect looser refund terms at the next platform. Candy AI's refund window closes 24 hours after payment, SweetDream guarantees a full refund only if 10% or less of a payment's tokens were used, FantasyGF refunds a subscription only before the next billing period starts, Nomi and Kindroid refund at their own discretion, SpicyChat's fees are non-refundable once you log in, and AI Peeps and Soulkyn decide case by case or only in limited cases. A free tier or a single month is the cheaper way to test a replacement before paying for a year.

OurDream AI is run by Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware corporation, and its terms name only two sites: ourdream.ai and ourdream.io, a non-explicit catalogue that uses the same account.
