Why people leave Soulkyn
Paid plans start at €24.99, and the headline features at €49.99
Soulkyn's own platform page lists Premium at €24.99, Deluxe at €49.99 and Deluxe Plus at €99.99 a month, billed in euros. Premium chats run on Soulkyn's in-house Gwem model with quotas on images and voice; the GLM 5.2 chat model, unlimited image generation and group scenes that Soulkyn leads with all start at Deluxe. A year of Deluxe paid monthly comes to €599.88 (12 × €49.99).
The free start is a short, message-limited trial
Soulkyn's features page says new accounts get "a short free trial, limited in messages". Its FAQ adds that using several accounts to stretch the trial ends in a permanent ban, so Soulkyn presents the free start as a trial rather than a free tier you can stay on.
There is no iPhone or Android app
Soulkyn runs only in a browser: US App Store and Google Play searches on Oct 24, 2026 found no Soulkyn app. Five of the seven picks below are browser-only as well, so the choice is short: Kindroid is listed in both the App Store and Google Play, and SpicyChat AI's Android app is an APK downloaded from spicychat.ai rather than from Google Play.
Video stops at 5- or 10-second clips, on a quota
Soulkyn's video is image-to-video only: pick an image and get a 5- or 10-second clip, with sound or silent, from Premium up. Soulkyn says there is no text-to-video path and that video keeps a quota on every tier, Deluxe Plus included; its pages describe real-time voice calls but not video calls. None of the picks makes video unlimited either. What they add is longer clips, text-to-video or live video calls, paid in tokens or credits.
Personal data is kept for years after you leave
Soulkyn's privacy policy (in the October 2025 version of its Terms) says personal information is usually stored for six years after you close your account. Training on your chats is opt-in, which is to Soulkyn's credit. If a short retention window matters more, AI Peeps says account deletion is generally completed within 7 days, Kindroid deletes 24 hours after a request, and Nastia AI deletes at once, though it keeps payment and rule-violation records and rolling backups.
The 7 Soulkyn alternatives
AI Peeps: best like-for-like switch for character builders
AI Peeps (9.0/10) is the nearest match to Soulkyn's build-your-own approach: you write or import your own characters, including character cards and chat histories exported from Character.AI, SillyTavern, Chub, JanitorAI or RisuAI, and its Chimera tool merges two characters into a new one, much as Soulkyn breeds kyns. Group chats, images, image-to-video and voice (messages and live voice chat) sit in the same browser app. Peep Chat removes the message cap for $8.99 a month, and the free plan keeps a daily allowance of text messages instead of a one-off trial. Clips last 5 to 15 seconds, from 480p up to 1080p, and Director's Cut strings scenes into montages as long as 60 seconds.
What you give up:
Media costs PeepCoins (10 per image, 40 to 550 per Base-model video) and monthly coins don't roll over, so nothing matches Soulkyn Deluxe's unlimited images. Group chats stop at 3 below the $29.99 Pro plan. AI Peeps is an Italy-based sole-trader business that its wiki says one developer maintains, refunds are case by case, and there is no app.
Nastia AI: best for unlimited chat plus group chats
Nastia AI (8.5/10) covers Soulkyn's core: uncensored chat and roleplay, group chats with several companions, and an image and video generator. The Unlimited plan, $15.99 a month or $8.33 a month on the $99.95 yearly plan, pairs unlimited messages with 400 tokens a day, a 3,000-token monthly bonus and up to 5 companions. The generator does text-to-video as well as image-to-video; Soulkyn says it only animates existing images. Nastia's free plan asks for no card and doesn't expire, each chat's settings offer a conversation download, and account deletion takes effect immediately.
What you give up:
No live voice or video calls: Nastia sends voice messages only, where Soulkyn has real-time calls. Purchases are non-refundable, tokens cap images and video even on Unlimited, uncensored selfies and videos need Unlimited, and you get 5 companions rather than Soulkyn's unlimited characters. It installs as a web app; there is no app-store app.
FantasyGF: best for longer video clips on a budget
FantasyGF (8.6/10) Premium is $12.99 monthly, or $69.99 for a year (about $5.83 a month). Texting is unlimited and costs no tokens; 100 tokens a month cover media. Its video generator runs past Soulkyn's 5- or 10-second clips: Spicy clips (480p, with audio) run 5 to 30 seconds and Cinema clips (720p, with audio) 5 to 15. You can also call your companion, at 8 tokens a minute on Premium, choose from 36 voice presets and build a realistic or anime character from looks, personality, voice and relationship.
What you give up:
Tokens go fast on video: one 15-second Cinema clip costs 141, more than Premium's monthly 100. Unlimited group chats need Ultra ($49.99 a month); Premium gets only a free taste. Premium's chat memory stops at the last 110 messages, against Soulkyn's per-thread recall, rolling summaries and forced memories. The free plan stops at 16 messages, and FantasyGF is web-only.
SpicyChat AI: best free plan for roleplay
SpicyChat AI (7.8/10) answers Soulkyn's message-limited trial: SpicyChat's plan table gives free accounts unlimited messages and character creation; the free tier shows ads and keeps a 4K context window. Group chats hold 2 to 10 characters on the free plan too (you pick who speaks next), and Lorebooks, Rulebooks with game-style meters such as trust, money or HP, and Director Mode are its counterparts to Soulkyn's world files and RPG kyns. SpicyChat says its library holds almost a million community characters. Android users get an official APK from spicychat.ai; Get A Taste removes ads for $5.95 a month.
What you give up:
No video and no voice calls; pictures in chat need True Supporter ($19.95 a month), and text-to-speech and the 32K context need I'm All In ($29.95). SpicyChat's terms treat chats as non-confidential and let its operators read them, where Soulkyn says chats are private. There is no iPhone app, fees stop being refundable once your paid login has been used, and NSFW needs a video-selfie or ID check wherever the law requires one (France, the UK, Italy, Australia and 26 US states).
Kindroid: best for iPhone and Android apps
Kindroid (8.6/10) is the only pick with app-store apps: iPhone (rated 18+) and Android, plus the web on one account. NSFW and erotic roleplay are explicitly allowed for adults. Like Soulkyn it suits people who write their own characters, with a personality field of 2,000 characters (2,500 when subscribed) plus key memories, a response directive and example messages. Next to voice calls it offers live avatar video calls in which the Kindroid can see your camera or a screen you share, plus 8- or 15-second video selfies. Subscribers get 20 group chats. Standard is $15.99 a month on the US App Store; the yearly plan, $159.99, averages about $13.33 a month.
What you give up:
Without a subscription you get only a one-time 50-message preview, and the memory upgrades cost extra every month (Ultra $28.99, MAX $68.99). Kindroid centres on characters you write yourself, and its pictures come as selfies, not Soulkyn's seven image models with LoRAs. Refunds are case by case and generally not given; web prices appear only at checkout.
SweetDream AI: best for live calls with video
SweetDream AI (9.1/10) adds what Soulkyn's pages don't describe: video calls and a Live Cam mode with its featured characters, plus live AI phone calls you can take in the browser or on your own phone, all on Premium and paid in tokens. A companion of your own (looks, voice, personality) costs 50 tokens to create; images cost 8 tokens and videos 80, with NSFW output on Premium. Free accounts get daily free messages. On Oct 10, 2026 Premium was listed at $79 a quarter or $179 a year, about $14.92 a month on the yearly plan.
What you give up:
Its video calls and Live Cam are limited to SweetDream's featured characters; a companion you build can't join them. Weekly billing at $12.99 a week works out to about $56.29 a month, and Premium's 400 monthly tokens cover 5 videos or 50 images. Our SweetDream review lists no group scenes, world files or character breeding. It is web-only, a full refund is guaranteed only if 10% or less of a payment's tokens were used, and with more than one SweetDream price list in circulation, the checkout screen has the final figure.
Candy AI: best for the lowest yearly price
Candy AI (8.5/10) has the lowest yearly bill among the seven picks for unlimited NSFW text chat: $47.88 a year, or $3.99 a month, against €24.99 a month for Soulkyn Premium. On monthly billing it is $9.99 for the first month, then $13.99. Every Premium plan carries a monthly 100-token allowance that pays for pictures, image-to-video clips, voice notes and voice calls, and a builder covers your companion's looks, personality and voice. Charges appear as "EverAI" on your statement.
What you give up:
The free account ends after 5 messages, and 100 tokens suit light media use only: Candy Roulette video chat alone takes 5 a minute. Under Candy's terms its operator, EverAI, holds a perpetual licence to your inputs and outputs, AI training included, where Soulkyn trains only if you opt in. Refund requests close 24 hours after payment, our Candy review lists no group scenes, and it is web-only.
What Soulkyn still does better
Unlimited images at Deluxe. From €49.99 a month Soulkyn makes image generation, in-chat images and text-to-speech unlimited. None of the seven picks advertises unlimited image generation: they charge tokens, coins or credits per picture, or, like SpicyChat AI, keep chat images to $19.95+ plans.
Training only if you opt in. Soulkyn uses chats to train its models only when you switch it on under Account → User preferences. Candy AI's terms license your chats for AI training, SweetDream AI's policy allows anonymised training on them, and SpicyChat AI's terms say chats are not confidential.
Voice calls without a meter. Soulkyn says its real-time call time is unmetered. FantasyGF, Candy AI and SweetDream AI bill calls in tokens, and Kindroid in audio credits.
Character tooling in one place. Versioned kyn edits, breeding, .dll behaviour mods, .wrl world files, group scenes of up to eight kyns, and extras such as AI music, light novels and collectible cards. Each pick covers part of this; none covers all of it.

Soulkyn's euro tiers next to the picks' dollar plans
Soulkyn charges in euros: Premium €24.99, Deluxe €49.99 and Deluxe Plus €99.99 a month, per its own platform page on Oct 24, 2026. A year of Premium paid monthly comes to €299.88 (12 × €24.99), and a year of Deluxe to €599.88. On Oct 10, 2026 Soulkyn's pricing page also listed yearly billing at 20% off; if that discount applies to the monthly price, Premium works out to about €19.99 a month. Confirm it at checkout.
The picks bill in US dollars, so the gap depends on your card's exchange rate. Their cheapest yearly routes, from our reviews:
- Candy AI: $47.88 a year ($3.99 a month)
- FantasyGF Premium: $69.99 a year (about $5.83 a month)
- AI Peeps Peep Chat: quoted at $7.49 a month on yearly billing
- Nastia AI Unlimited: $99.95 a year (about $8.33 a month)
- Kindroid Standard: $159.99 a year on the US App Store (about $13.33 a month)
- SweetDream AI Premium: $179 a year (about $14.92 a month)
- SpicyChat AI: Get A Taste is $60 a year, but chat images start at True Supporter, $199.95 a year
The bigger difference is what "unlimited" covers. Chat messages are unlimited on every paid Soulkyn tier, but Premium caps images (a 300-unit quota that Soulkyn staff equate to as many as 1,800 image-tool pictures or 300 in-chat images) and voice (300 messages); images and text-to-speech go unlimited only at Deluxe. Candy AI, FantasyGF and AI Peeps make text chat unlimited on every paid plan, as does Nastia AI's Unlimited plan, and each then meters media in its own currency: 100 tokens a month on Candy AI and on FantasyGF Premium, 300 PeepCoins on AI Peeps' Peep Chat (about 30 images) and 400 daily tokens plus 3,000 a month on Nastia AI Unlimited; SweetDream AI's Premium adds 400 tokens a month. If you make images in bulk, set those allowances against Deluxe's unlimited generation before you switch.
Before you cancel: exporting threads and rebuilding kyns
- Export before you cancel. Soulkyn's Chat basics help page describes a Download button on each thread that exports the whole conversation, including the part the chat view doesn't load. Exports are rate-limited per thread, so a long history may need a second try.
- Time the cancellation. Cancel on the manage-subscription page before the next billing date; the current period isn't refunded. Our Soulkyn review has the full cancellation and refund terms.
- Rebuild kyns by hand. Copy a kyn's personality, background and example lines into the new app's creator. Kindroid's creator has room for a long personality plus key memories, a response directive and example messages, so most of a kyn's sheet has a place to go, and a SpicyChat AI lorebook can carry what a .wrl world file did. If you keep copies of your characters as SillyTavern or Chub cards, AI Peeps imports those directly.
- Closing the account is a separate step. Soulkyn's privacy policy (October 2025 version) says Soulkyn usually stores personal information for six years from the date an account is closed; it also lists your GDPR rights to access and erasure.
Where group scenes, breeding and world files carry over
| On Soulkyn | Nearest match among the picks |
|---|---|
| Group scenes: a lead kyn plus up to 7 more (Deluxe) | SpicyChat AI: 2–10 characters, free plan included; Kindroid: 20 group chats on a subscription, and invite-only Rooms (up to 11 Kins); AI Peeps: 3 group chats from $8.99, 10 on Pro; Nastia AI: group chats from Basic |
| Breeding two kyns into an offspring | AI Peeps Chimera, which merges two characters into a new one |
| .wrl world files and RPG kyns with stats | SpicyChat AI Lorebooks, Rulebooks (meters such as trust, money or HP) and Director Mode |
| Forced memories and rolling summaries | Kindroid key memories and journal entries; AI Peeps memory slots (editable and pinnable on Pro) and memory triggers |
| Real-time voice calls | Kindroid calls, by voice or with a live avatar on video; SweetDream AI phone calls and video calls with featured characters; FantasyGF calls at 8 tokens a minute on Premium |
| Image-to-video, 5 or 10 seconds | FantasyGF clips up to 30 seconds with audio; AI Peeps 5–15 seconds up to 1080p, plus montages up to 60 seconds; Nastia AI text-to-video and image-to-video |
| AI music, light novels, collectible cards | No counterpart in the seven picks' published features |

Refund terms barely loosen when you switch
Soulkyn refunds subscriptions only in limited cases, such as its own mistakes or technical faults. Most picks are no looser: Nastia AI and SpicyChat AI purchases are, with narrow exceptions, non-refundable, AI Peeps and Kindroid treat refunds case by case, and FantasyGF's terms allow a subscription refund only before the next billing period starts. Candy AI considers a card refund only if you ask within 24 hours and have used 20 tokens or fewer, and SweetDream AI refunds a payment in full only if 10% or less of its tokens were used. Use each free tier before you pay; how we score explains the value ratings behind the picks.
Soulkyn alternatives: FAQ
Is there a free Soulkyn alternative?
Yes, SpicyChat AI: according to its plan table, a free account can send unlimited messages and create unlimited characters, with ads and a 4K context. AI Peeps gives free accounts a daily allowance of text messages, and Nastia AI offers a no-card free plan without an end date, though it covers one companion. Soulkyn's own free start is a short trial limited in messages.
What is the closest alternative to Soulkyn?
AI Peeps (9.0/10). Its whole setup revolves around characters you make or bring in from other apps, and its Chimera tool, which merges two characters, is the nearest thing among the picks to breeding two kyns. Group chats, pictures, short videos and voice share one browser app, and Peep Chat lifts the message cap for $8.99 a month.
Does Soulkyn have an app, and which alternatives do?
No. Searches of the US App Store and Google Play on Oct 24, 2026 turned up no Soulkyn app; it runs in a browser. Kindroid has iPhone and Android apps and allows NSFW roleplay for adults, and SpicyChat AI's Android app comes as an APK from its website. The remaining five picks are websites you can pin to a phone's home screen as web apps.
Which Soulkyn alternative is cheapest?
If you won't pay at all, SpicyChat AI's free plan. If you will, Candy AI on yearly billing: $47.88 a year, or $3.99 a month, with unlimited text chat plus a 100-token monthly media allowance. On monthly billing, the chat-only options are SpicyChat AI's Get A Taste at $5.95 and AI Peeps' Peep Chat at $8.99. Soulkyn Premium is €24.99 a month.
Is Soulkyn safe and legit?
Its operator, Cube Digital Media Ltd., is a registered Irish company (no. 717296), and Have I Been Pwned showed no breach for soulkyn.com on Oct 24, 2026. Chats are used for model training only if you opt in, but under the privacy policy personal data is normally kept for six years after the account is closed, and age is checked by self-declaration only. More in our Soulkyn review.
Will I lose my kyns and chats if I cancel Soulkyn?
Not according to Soulkyn staff: a reply on the official forum (April 2026) says nothing is deleted when you unsubscribe; characters and chats stay, and only AI generation stops. If you want your own copy of a long roleplay, export it from the thread before you leave.
Which alternatives have group chats like Soulkyn's group scenes?
SpicyChat AI allows group chats of 2 to 10 characters, even for free accounts. Kindroid subscribers get 20 group chats, AI Peeps has 3 from $8.99 a month (10 on Pro), Nastia AI includes group chats from its $11.99 Basic plan, and FantasyGF gives Premium a free taste and Ultra unlimited group chats. Soulkyn's group scenes, a lead kyn plus up to seven more, start at Deluxe (€49.99).
